Honda CB750 Joe Bar Team

A true icon in motorcycle history, the Honda CB750 continues to inspire customizers worldwide. Launched in the late 1960s, it is considered one of the first modern superbikes thanks to its inline four-cylinder engine, front disc brake, and versatility. This version, customized by JeremMotorcycles, revisits this emblematic model with a decidedly café racer interpretation, where contemporary components meet a style directly inspired by the famous Joe Bar Team. The customization goes far beyond aesthetics. Chassis, brakes, engine, electrical system, and bodywork have all been thoroughly revised to create a unique motorcycle, blending performance, build quality, and numerous handcrafted details.

A Completely Revisited Honda CB750

The project begins with a complete overhaul of the motorcycle before integrating numerous components from other models. The goal is to maintain the CB750’s identity while modernizing its handling and equipment. The frame is modified to accommodate a fully custom-made rear cowl. After preparation, the frame and swingarm receive a black epoxy finish to improve their protection and appearance. The entire chassis is meticulously cleaned before reassembly. As with JeremMotorcycles’ other projects, each component is selected to maintain technical and aesthetic consistency.

A Modernized Chassis

The Honda receives a fork from a Ducati 900 SS, resulting in a significant upgrade to the front suspension. It is paired with a fully custom-made aluminum fender. The original wheels were replaced with Triumph Thruxton rims, requiring several modifications to ensure a perfect fit. The original rear shock absorbers were retained but completely rebuilt. The braking system was modernized with rebuilt and repainted Brembo calipers. These are controlled by Accossato PR19 master cylinders for both the front brake and the clutch. Exact braided brake lines were custom-made to fit this new configuration. The cockpit features Ducati clip-on handlebars, enhancing the sporty riding position. Finally, the upper and lower triple clamps were entirely custom-made by USV Racing, allowing for the seamless integration of all the new components.

A modernized engine without betraying the spirit of the CB750

The Honda four-cylinder engine retains its iconic architecture while benefiting from several upgrades. The airbox has been removed to accommodate DNA filters protected by specific grilles. This modification improves the visual clearance under the tank while complementing the new exhaust system. The engine receives a high-temperature black paint finish, while several peripheral parts feature a multi-colored finish that provides a subtle contrast. The exhaust is entirely custom-made from stainless steel in a 4-into-1 configuration, finished with a stainless steel silencer perfectly integrated into the motorcycle’s lines. The choke system has also been modified to better suit this new mechanical configuration.

A Completely Rebuilt Electrical System

The entire wiring harness has been redesigned. The harnesses powering the right and left handlebar controls are entirely custom-made. At the front, the motorcycle features a vintage LED headlight mounted on CNC-machined aluminum brackets specially created for this build. At the rear, a Highsider 3-in-1 taillight combines the running light, brake light, and turn signals in a unit discreetly integrated into the rear cowl. The front turn signals also use LED technology, as does the license plate light. A Solise battery is installed on a modified bracket to optimize its integration. The instrumentation consists of a vintage Daytona speedometer, accompanied by a Five Aces speedometer, reinforcing the neo-retro identity of this creation.

A Joe Bar Team Inspired Style

The visual identity of this Honda is one of the highlights of the custom build. JeremMotorcycles chose a theme directly inspired by the Joe Bar Team, the famous comic strip that has become a touchstone for several generations of motorcycle enthusiasts. The rear cowl is entirely custom-made to seamlessly extend the lines of the tank. It houses a leather seat crafted by Yaya Brush Sellerie, with stitching that enhances the level of finish. The rearset footpegs are also custom-made, as is the rear license plate bracket. CNC-machined aluminum mirrors complete the deliberately minimalist look.

A Fully Custom Paint Job

The finish plays a significant role in the identity of this CB750. The tank is painted metallic gray with a purple checkered pattern directly inspired by the world of the Joe Bar Team. The brake calipers and rear shock springs are painted purple to create a cohesive visual link. The engine has a satin black epoxy finish combined with red textured paint on certain components. The fork legs are also coated in satin black epoxy, matching the frame and swingarm. The overall effect is a particularly harmonious build where each color finds its natural place.

A faithful café racer build

This Honda CB750 perfectly illustrates the JeremMotorcycles philosophy. The goal is not simply to transform a classic motorcycle but to design a cohesive machine, blending modern components, handcrafted construction, and respect for the original model’s character. The use of a Ducati fork, Triumph wheels, Brembo brakes, contemporary instrumentation, and numerous custom-machined parts demonstrates the significant adaptation work carried out on this build. The Joe Bar Team-inspired graphic theme adds a touch of originality without obscuring the identity of this Honda, which has become one of the benchmarks of the modern café racer.
