This Ducati Monster 821 Icon has undergone a complete custom build by Jereme Motorcycle. True to the workshop’s philosophy, the project goes beyond simply modifying the bike’s aesthetics; it involves rethinking all of its components to create a cohesive, high-performance, and personalized machine. The build combines elements from the Monster 1200, custom-made parts, numerous CNC-machined components, carbon fiber bodywork, and meticulous finishing. The chassis, brakes, engine, electrical system, and bodywork have all been revised to offer a more exclusive interpretation of the Italian roadster.
A Completely Redesigned Ducati Monster
For over thirty years, the Ducati Monster has been one of the iconic models of the Borgo Panigale brand. With its exposed trellis frame, L-twin engine, and minimalist style, it has established itself as a benchmark among sport roadsters. On this Monster 821 Icon, JeremMotorcycles maintains the model’s overall identity while upgrading each of its main components. The project is based on significant adaptation work aimed at integrating higher-end components without altering the motorcycle’s characteristic lines. The customization places particular emphasis on the quality of the finish. Every element is selected to integrate harmoniously into the whole, whether it be the chassis, the machined aluminum components, the numerous carbon fiber parts, or the paintwork.
A Thoroughly Modernized Chassis
The chassis has undergone a significant evolution. The original fork has been completely rebuilt before receiving a blue anodized finish, giving it a strong visual signature. At the rear, the motorcycle adopts the single-sided swingarm from the Ducati Monster 1200, which has been completely refurbished. Its adaptation required the machining of several specific parts to allow for the mounting of the new wheels. The Ducati Performance rims, machined from solid aluminum, replace the original wheels. They contribute to reducing unsprung weight while reinforcing the sporty character of the build. The rear suspension is handled by an Öhlins shock absorber, a benchmark in the world of high-performance suspensions. The CNC-machined rearset footpegs from a Monster 1200 have been modified to fit the new custom-made subframe. The package is completed by clip-on handlebars that transform the riding position and enhance the machine’s sporty character.
High-End Braking
The braking system has also been upgraded. The front discs have been replaced with new components paired with Brembo pads. The clutch and brake master cylinders have been replaced with Accossato models, renowned for their build quality and precision. The frame and brake calipers receive a special finish by Vaporblasting58, contributing to the Monster’s distinctive visual identity. The overall technical upgrades are consistent with the suspension and chassis improvements.
A Sublime Mechanic
The Ducati twin-cylinder engine retains its original architecture but receives several aesthetic and technical upgrades. The ignition cover is repainted in a textured black to accentuate the contrast with the numerous gold parts on the motorcycle. The clutch is converted to a hydraulic system and features a transparent, CNC-machined aluminum cover with a gold anodized finish. A CNC-machined clutch slave cylinder with the same finish completes the assembly. The hoses are replaced with high-performance models, while the original exhaust is replaced with a custom-made dual-outlet system, specially designed for this build. As with every project completed by the workshop, all fluids were replaced during reassembly to ensure optimal performance.
A visual identity dominated by carbon fiber
Aesthetics are one of the strong points of this custom build. A specific steel rear subframe is custom-made to achieve a more streamlined profile. It accommodates a leather seat crafted by Yaya Brush Sellerie, a regular partner of JeremMotorcycles. The motorcycle also features a significant number of carbon fiber components:
Timing belt covers;
Radiator guards;
Rear fender;
Chain guard;
Sprocket cover;
Exhaust heat shield;
Key surround;
Expansion tank cover;
Fuse box cover;
License plate bracket.
The front fender is custom-made from aluminum. The numerous gold-anodized CNC aluminum parts create a particularly striking contrast with the blue paint and black elements of the motorcycle.
Modernized Electrical System
The lighting system uses all-LED technology. At the front, a modern round headlight replaces the original headlight. At the rear, a Kellermann 3-in-1 taillight combines the position light, brake light, and turn signals in a particularly discreet unit. The front turn signals are also Kellermann branded, while the license plate light also uses LED technology. This modernization visually lightens the motorcycle while improving its visibility.
Automotive-Inspired Paintwork
The bodywork receives a unique and distinctive finish. The tank and rear subframe are painted in Alpine Blue, then coated with a Candy Blue clear coat that adds significant depth to the color depending on the light. This finish particularly highlights the numerous anodized gold parts and carbon fiber components on the motorcycle. The resulting contrast significantly contributes to the visual identity of this Monster and gives it a unique personality.
A custom build where every detail counts
This Ducati Monster 821 Icon perfectly illustrates the expertise of JeremMotorcycles. Beyond the prestigious components used, it is above all the overall coherence of the project that stands out. The combination of a modernized chassis, high-end brakes, numerous CNC-machined parts, carbon fiber elements, and a particularly meticulous finish results in a harmonious build where every detail seems to have been considered with a holistic approach. More than just an aesthetic customization, this Monster 821 becomes a true handcrafted creation blending performance, build quality, and attention to detail.
